AUTHORISED AGENT vs INTERNATIONAL MARKETING AGENT

What is the difference?

AN AUTHORISED AGENT IS A BODY CORPORATE, ATTORNEY-AT-LAW OR CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT IN ST KITTS AND NEVIS WHO IS AUTHORISED BY THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS TO ACT AS AN AGENT OF, OR PROVIDE CONSULTANT SERVICES TO, MAIN APPLICANTS WITH RESPECT TO CBI APPLICATIONS

Authorised Agents must be appointed by a main applicant by way of Limited Power of Attorney to act on their behalf in relation to all matters regarding their Citizenship by Investment (CBI) application.

They are required to provide professional advice, assist and give details regarding the application process and help with the preparation and submission of an application for citizenship by investment and its supporting documents.

Your Authorised Agent will engage the CBI Unit (CIU) and maintain a point of contact to review all matters surrounding the application, make payments and submit and collect all important correspondence.

Authorised Agents are required to renew both their FSRC and CBI authorisations annually.

AN INTERNATIONAL MARKETING AGENT IS A BODY CORPORATE WHICH HAS ENTERED INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT WITH AN AUTHORISED AGENT AND IS AUTHORISED BY THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS TO MARKET THE ST KITTS AND NEVIS CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAMME TO POTENTIAL APPLICANTS

They are trusted global entities authorised to market and distribute promotional information about the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme.

International Marketing Agents are required to renew their authorisation annually and are further required to list their sub agents and their websites, show evidence of documented AML/KYC policies and identify their marketing areas.

Applications generated by International Marketing Agents are to be submitted to the Citizenship by Investment Unit through the Authorised Agents.
