Chairman of the Board of Directors, Calvin St. Juste, recently visited Shanghai as part of his Middle East and Asia tour. The visit, one of a series in China, provided the opportunity to meet with key partners in the region.
The Chairman’s Shanghai lunch was a vibrant affair, filled with discussions about the evolving landscape of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Unit.
STATUTORY TRANSFORMATION
Kicking off the event, he emphasised the Board’s commitment to restructuring the Unit for greater efficiency. This comes after the recent restructuring of the Unit into a statutory body.
In June 2024, in a landmark sitting, the National Assembly successfully passed the Citizenship by Investment Unit Act 2024. As a result, the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) now functions as a statutory corporation.
BUSINESS-ORIENTED APPROACH
The Chairman noted that the transition facilitated a more business-oriented approach and emphasised the need to consistently earn stakeholders’ trust, highlighting the significant work ahead to improve the Unit’s operations.
PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE
“We’re tireless in our pursuit of efficiency and delivery,” he stated.
The Chairman’s aim is clear: to provide an efficient, respected, and competitive citizenship offering on the global stage underpinned by six guiding principles:
- Transparency,
- Communication,
- Good governance,
- Transformation,
- Global leadership, and
- Sustainability
CONTINUED GROWTH AND COLLABORATION
As the roadshow progresses, Chairman St. Juste continues to reiterate his commitment to nurturing these partnerships.
He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of all stakeholders in advancing the Programme, expressing deep appreciation for the commitment and support of Authorised Agents, International Marketing Agents and Promoters.
INVITATION TO THE INVESTMENT GATEWAY SUMMIT
The Chairman concluded the event by extending an invitation to attendees to experience these developments firsthand at the upcoming Investment Gateway Summit, scheduled for 31 May to 3 June 2025.
Describing the event as a celebration of the unique and inclusive culture of St. Kitts and Nevis, Chairman St. Juste urged everyone to join in what he anticipates will be a remarkable week.
