Speaking during the Opening Ceremony, Prime Minister Drew told the story of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and emphasised the importance of all-island collaboration.

‘We are connected by more than sea and oceans, we are all connected by something deeper; our sheer resilience and our remarkable adaptability to change,’ Prime Minister Drew said.

‘This is the story of islands, and it is the same spirit that we are called upon to summon again as we break down the barriers that our islandness tends to erect,’ he explained. [/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_heading main_heading=”HONOURABLE DR. She served on the ‘Islands Leading on Climate Action’ panel.

On the panel, she elaborated on the government’s commitment to climate action and social action, too.

“It is a commitment that the government has made to digitise government services and also to make sure that every single child in St. Kitts and Nevis has access to technology that allows them to be part of the global transformation,’ Dr. Clarke said.

‘While we are pushing for climate resilience, we are also centering people through digital transformation and social protection,” Dr. Clarke added.

The St Kitts and Nevis Investment Gateway Summit (IGS) will feature panels and events showcasing the social fabric of the island, from cultural offerings to insights about the island’s premier CBI Programme.

Dr. Clarke is a keynote speaker at the IGS.

The Summit will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort from 10 to 14 July.[/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row]
